Job summary

MOSS Building & Design is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead operations for its high-end residential remodeling projects in the Northern Virginia/Maryland/DC market. You will drive sales, design, and project delivery while maintaining exceptional customer experiences and healthy margins.

This leadership role requires balancing strategic growth with hands-on team management, process optimization, and a relentless focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in residential construction, design-build remodeling, or custom home building.
• Proven track record managing a team and delivering $5M+ in annual project volume with profitability and client satisfaction.
• Experience in the Northern Virginia/Maryland/DC metro market is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across sales, design and project management.
• Drive a client-focused culture emphasizing accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee full project lifecycle from sales through design, permitting, construction, and lifetime care.
• Manage P&L responsibilities including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Partner with marketing to grow qualified leads and market share in target regions.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor project metrics and address issues to maintain satisfaction, efficiency, and profitability.
