Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a General Manager Designate I in Temple, TX. This training role prepares you to assume full facility leadership, including operations, financial performance, and safety.

You will shadow senior leaders, lead special projects, and develop an annual operating plan while building customer relationships. Relocation within one to two years is part of the program, and benefits begin on day one.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience guiding operations, P&L, and logistics preferred.
• Proven ability to develop strategies and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Translate best practices to McLane culture, policies, and operations.
• Shadow senior leaders and lead special projects and facilities when needed.
• Apply business development strategies to drive KPIs.
• Maintain optimum operating performance at all times.
• Develop annual operating plans and performance targets.
• Build and sustain customer relationships within the division.
• Motivate staff, resolve issues, and promote safety and Open Door policy.
• Mentor teammates and support succession planning.
• Provide leadership and empower direct reports.
• Encourage open dialog and ensure compliance with policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
