Job summary

RDO Equipment Co. is seeking a General Manager of Construction Technology to drive strategic initiatives across our Construction regions and partner with operational leaders, technology experts, and premier manufacturers to accelerate technology adoption.

In this role you will lead the development and execution of construction technology programs, work with field General Managers to strengthen field technology leadership, and mentor teams to build technology leadership across the company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction technology, heavy equipment, or related industry experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to build trusted partnerships with customers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.
• Valid work authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

What You Will Do:

• Drive strategy and growth: Leading the development and execution of construction technology programs and marketing initiatives.
• Partner with operational leaders: Working closely with field General Managers to assess, develop, and strengthen field technology leadership across the organization.
• Coach and develop teams: Mentoring construction leaders and championing technology leadership excellence throughout the company.
• Build key industry partnerships: Collaborating with leading manufacturers including Topcon, John Deere Construction & Forestry, Wingtra, and Trimble to support customer success and technology adoption.
• Proven leadership experience: Previous supervisory or management experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Industry expertise: 10+ years of construction technology, heavy equipment, or related industry experience preferred.

Location and travel flexibility:

This position may be located within any of RDO Equipment Co.'s Construction regions. Preference will be given to candidates located within 45 minutes of a major airport and who are able to travel up to 50% to support field operations, manufacturer partnerships, customer engagement, and business initiatives.

• Relationship-building skills: Ability to build trusted partnerships with customers, team members, manufacturers, and business partners.
• Strong communication and business acumen: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Valid work authorization: Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
