General Manager - Atlantic Tire Distributors

We are seeking a General Manager to join our Atlantic Tire Distributors team in Ridgeville, SC! As a General Manager, you will be part of a fast-paced, successful, and growing company with warehouses operating in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Compensation: Competitive salary plus commission.

Summary:

The primary responsibility of the General Manager is to oversee all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations.

Qualifications:

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the distribution center in alignment with company policies and guidelines.
• Plan and manage warehouse staff and delivery drivers to meet financial and quality targets.
• Manage personnel across warehouse, delivery, and administrative departments, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
• Implement proactive business strategies, including productivity and route profitability goals.
• Maintain inventory control, ensuring replenishment meets demand and promotional needs.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, including collections, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with IT to resolve local technical issues.
• Support profit strategies through efficient use of resources and cost-effective delivery methods.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (DOT, OSHA, ADA, etc.).
• Promote the company's corporate image and protect its brand.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Understanding of strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and team coordination.
• Knowledge of warehouse processes, quality control, and distribution techniques.
