Job summary

Barron Industries Inc. in Oxford, MI is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence for aerospace and defense markets.

You will lead production teams, balance strategic planning with shop-floor execution, and ensure 100% on-time delivery while meeting revenue and cost objectives. Strong leadership and ERPy systems familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as GM or similar senior role leading multiple teams or departments.
• Experience in investment casting or precision machining preferred.
• Proven ability to manage revenue goals, budgets, costs, capacity, and delivery commitments.
• Experience preparing and presenting operational and financial reports to executives.
• Ability to lead and hold managers accountable while delegating day‑to‑day production execution.
• Familiarity with aerospace/defense quality systems and ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the President to set operating priorities, performance goals, and strategic plans.
• Oversee revenue, budget, production, and delivery performance; identify variances and take corrective actions.
• Set expectations and evaluate department performance—productivity, quality, cost objectives.
• Manage capacity planning, staffing, inventory, and order backlog to meet commitments.
• Coordinate across casting, machining, quality, engineering, and shipping to improve efficiency.
• Review reports and communicate results to executive leadership; drive continuous improvement.
