Oversees the daily operations for a food management account. Responsible for overseeing financial and culinary accountability of the account. Manages Chef/Managers, Food Service Directors and Food Service Manager Personnel and oversees all safety and sanitation as it pertains to the account and reflects high standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates commitment to vision, values and missions through actions on a daily basis.
  • Manage staff to include selection, work allocation, training, coaching and mentoring, problem resolution, performance evaluation and feedback, and corrective action.
  • Oversee that the chef/managers consistently maintain high food quality and service levels in accordance with standards.
  • Lead by example and maintain a professional and reputable work environment by enforcing policy and best practices that brings out a positive employment brand.
  • Interact with clients on a daily basis and maintain excellent client relationships through open and honest dialogue.
  • Stay abreast of the competition by analyzing quarterly market analysis and consistent research of menu trends.
  • Provide financial expertise in overseeing management of Food, Labor and Direct costs.
  • Educate client with monthly meetings with transparent financials. Identify and mentor next level personnel to grow with company and develop career paths, including training schedules.
  • Hold managers accountable for food, labor and direct cost controls and control expenditures for the account.
  • Manage account’s marketing strategy programs to increase sales growth.
  • Manage accountability of staff using goal setting and performance management processes.
  • Manage costs on all recipes.
  • Oversee and accountability of all purchases and inventory levels.
  • Oversee all menus.
  • Work in conjunction with the Chef/Manager, Food Service Director and Food Service Manager to anticipate trends and roll out new concepts and ideas.
  • Maintain high standards by managing customer service and exceed our client’s expectations through delicious food and gracious hospitality.
  • Motivate management to consistently thrive to keep the account(s) fresh and exciting.
  • Maintain account in compliance with SOP standards and HACCP standards.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure safe food practices.
  • Follow all policies and food safety guidelines.

Job Requirements/Specifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years of food service management.
  • Extensive experience in the food service industry including a vast knowledge of establishing client relations and maintaining long term client relationships.
  • Exemplary leadership skills.
  • Expertise of the P&L impact and accounting practices.
  • Experience with cost controls, sanitation and safety is required.
  • Strong communication and client management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of financials.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Responsible for meeting and maintaining state and local certification requirements (Food Service Manager).

Essential Qualifications:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team members is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer-based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.).
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hand and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
  • Exposure to odors, noise, heat, steam, in/out walk-in freezer, cleaning chemicals and detergent.
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding and knife skills).
