Job summary

Branch Manager / General Manager - Specialty Building Products

I'm partnering with a leading specialty building products distributor looking to appoint an experienced Branch Manager / General Manager to lead one of their key Texas locations.

This is a full P&L leadership role with responsibility across sales, operations, inventory, logistics, customer relationships and team performance.

The Role

You will take ownership of the overall performance of the branch, including:

• Full branch P&L and budget responsibility
• Driving revenue, gross margin and profitability
• Leading sales, operations, warehouse and delivery teams
• Managing inventory, purchasing and operational efficiency
• Building and maintaining relationships with contractors and key customers
• Recruiting, developing and retaining a high-performing team
• Ensuring strong safety and operational standards
• Identifying opportunities for continued branch growth

Ideal Background

We're particularly interested in candidates with leadership experience across:

• Roofing / Waterproofing
• Siding / Exterior Building Products
• Insulation
• Drywall / Gypsum / Ceilings
• Lumber / LBM
• Other specialty building products distribution

You should ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Branch Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager or Sales Manager
• Strong commercial and operational understanding
• Experience managing teams within a distribution environment
• A strong understanding of contractor-driven building materials markets
• Proven ability to grow revenue while maintaining operational discipline
