Job summary

Fairfield Inn and Suites Sidney seeks a General Manager to lead hotel operations, drive guest satisfaction, and deliver strong financial performance. You will build a high-performing team, manage P&L, and shape the property’s identity in alignment with Fairfield Inn and Suites standards.

You will oversee front desk, housekeeping, F&B where applicable, and sales, while maintaining brand compliance and safety. This is a hands-on leadership role with ownership of revenue and expenses.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of GM/ AGM experience in a branded or independent hotel.
• Proven track record of managing P&L, revenue growth, and guest satisfaction scores.
• Experience coordinating multiple departments across a full-service or select-service hotel.
• Proficiency with hotel PMS; brand experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all hotel operations: front desk, housekeeping, F&B (where applicable), maintenance, and sales.
• Own the property’s full P&L, managing revenue, expenses, labor costs, and capex to targets.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing team; foster accountability and hospitality.
• Drive revenue via pricing strategy, occupancy management, and local market awareness.
• Ensure brand compliance and lead quality audits and inspections.
• Build positive relationships with guests, community partners, and vendors.
• Analyze performance reports to identify opportunities and gaps.
• Champion safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the property’s full P&L, managing revenue, expenses, labor costs, and capital expenditures in alignment with company targets
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing team; foster a culture of accountability, growth, and genuine hospitality
• Drive revenue performance through effective pricing strategy, occupancy management, and local market awareness
• Ensure full brand compliance and successfully lead the property through quality assurance audits and brand inspections
• Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, local community partners, and key vendors
• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to identify opportunities and address gaps proactively
• Champion safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all local, state, and brand-mandated standards

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a branded or independent hotel environment
• Proven track record of managing P&L, driving revenue growth, and maintaining strong guest satisfaction scores
• Strong leadership and team development skills; experience managing departments across a full-service or select-service hotel
• Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS); franchise brand experience (IHG, Hilton, Marriott, or similar) preferred
• Flexible, hands‑on leadership style with the ability to work across shifts as needed and maintain on‑call availability
• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision‑making skills
