Job summary

SkyWater Search Partners is partnering with a growing medical device CDMO to recruit a General Manager who will lead a large manufacturing organization through its next growth phase.

The role oversees manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, facilities, and continuous improvement, driving transformation. It requires proven leadership across 200+ staff and a $100M+ P&L, with a strong engineering background and Lean Six Sigma experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing and operations leadership experience.
• 4+ years leading managers and senior leaders with 200+ direct/indirect reports.
• Strong background in manufacturing or operations engineering.
• Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or similar CI experience.
• Experience managing a $100M+ P&L or large operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, CI, facilities, and related operations.
• Drive operational transformation including site integration and culture alignment.
• Establish KPIs, accountability, and operating rhythms.
• Partner with quality, commercial, and executive leadership to support growth.
• Manage significant operating budget and P&L balancing delivery, quality, productivity, and financials.

General Manager

We are partnering with a growing medical device CDMO seeking a General Manager to lead a large manufacturing organization through its next phase of growth and transformation. This leader will oversee a broad operations team, improve performance, and help bring greater consistency and alignment across a complex multi-site environment.

Base compensation is in the $240-280k range.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, continuous improvement, facilities, and related operations functions.
• Drive operational transformation, including site integration, organizational change, process improvement, and culture alignment.
• Establish clear KPIs, accountability, and operating rhythms across functions.
• Partner quality, commercial, and executive leadership to support customer needs, new product introduction, and scalable growth.
• Manage a significant operating budget and P&L while balancing delivery, quality, productivity, and financial performance.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing and operations leadership experience, preferably within a medical device or CDMO environment.
• 4+ years leading managers and senior functional leaders, with experience overseeing teams of 200+.
• Strong background in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, operations engineering, or a related area.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree required.
• Lean, Six Sigma, Black Belt, or comparable continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Proven experience leading transformation, integration, consolidation, site transfers, or other significant organizational change.
• Experience managing a $100M+ P&L or similarly scaled operation preferred.
