POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re launching a private club experience that redefines the intersection of hospitality, sport, and community. As we introduce Hamlin House to our founding members, we are seeking an accomplished and visionary General Manager to lead daily operations, member engagement, and service excellence. This role is instrumental in building the Hamlin House experience from the ground up—creating a warm, vibrant, and polished environment that reflects the values of exclusivity, belonging, and elevated leisure. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team to deliver outstanding member service and hospitality in alignment with the elevated standards of a private club environment.
- Oversee daily operations of Hamlin House, including pickleball court management, member services, dining and beverage programs, concierge-level amenities, and overall facility maintenance.
- Design and implement strategic plans to grow membership, foster engagement, and deliver a premier experience to all members and guests.
- Establish and nurture a high-performance culture rooted in service, professionalism, and team collaboration.
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining impeccable cleanliness and presentation throughout the club.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and cost management to meet or exceed profitability targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, community partners, and vendors to enrich the club experience and support retention and referrals.
- Curate and execute exclusive events, tournaments, wellness experiences, and social activations that reflect the club’s brand and appeal to our diverse member base.
- Develop systems to measure member satisfaction and operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement and innovation across all areas of the club.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in club management, luxury hospitality, or premium lifestyle operations, ideally in a members-only or resort environment.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to build and guide high-performing teams.
- Operational expertise in food & beverage service, sports/recreation programming, and high-touch guest services.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on management style, capable of driving both vision and execution.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills suited to engaging with a discerning membership community.
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyze reports, and achieve performance benchmarks.
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior operations or general manager role within hospitality, private clubs, or sport and recreation.
- Experience planning and executing high-quality events and experiences that reinforce brand loyalty and member satisfaction.
- Passion for pickleball and community engagement, with an authentic desire to foster connection and wellness through sport and social culture.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure a seamless experience for members and guests.
