Job summary

Jersey Mike's in Olympia is seeking a General Manager to lead all aspects of the restaurant, drive guest satisfaction, and build a high-performing team. You will coach Crew Members, Shift Leaders, and Assistant Managers while delivering a Sub Above guest experience and strong financial results.

As a General Manager, you will manage operations, ensure food quality and safety, and build community relationships. This role offers career progression and a supportive leadership culture.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must meet applicable age requirements for operating certain equipment where required by state or local regulations.
• Food safety certification may be required and will be provided or supported if applicable.

• Lead the overall operation and performance of your restaurant.
• Hiring, training, coaching, and developing a high-performing team.
• Creating a positive, engaging workplace culture built on teamwork, accountability, and respect.
• Delivering an exceptional guest experience and ensuring every customer receives a "Sub Above" experience.
• Driving sales growth while managing labor, food costs, and overall profitability.
• Ensuring consistent execution of Jersey Mike's standards for food quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
• Managing inventory, ordering, and cost controls to support restaurant performance.
• Maintaining compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company operating standards.
• Developing future leaders by coaching Crew Members, Shift Leaders, and Assistant Managers.
• Building strong relationships within the local community while representing the Jersey Mike's brand.
• Analyzing restaurant performance and implementing action plans to achieve operational goals.
• Partnering with your Regional Manager to continuously improve results and develop your team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for leaders who:

• Have previous restaurant management experience, preferably as a General Manager, Assistant Manager, or multi-unit leader
• Have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams
• Are passionate about developing and mentoring others
• Lead with integrity, accountability, and a positive attitude
• Thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
• Understand restaurant financials, including labor, food cost, sales, and profitability
• Have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Take ownership of results and continuously look for opportunities to improve
• Create a culture where team members feel supported, valued, and motivated
• Experience with quick-service or fast-casual restaurants is preferred, but we welcome leaders from other hospitality and retail environments who have a passion for people and operational excellence.
