Job summary

Jersey Mike's is seeking a General Manager to lead all aspects of the restaurant, promoting a positive, guest-focused culture.

You will hire and develop a high-performing team, drive sales, control labor and costs, and ensure food safety and outstanding hospitality.

• Previous restaurant management experience required

• Food safety certification may be required or supported

Responsibilities

• Lead overall operation and performance of the restaurant
• Hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience and ensure every customer receives a Sub Above experience
• Drive sales growth while managing labor, food costs, and overall profitability
• Ensure consistent execution of Jersey Mike's standards for food quality, cleanliness, and customer service
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls to support restaurant performance
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and operating standards
• Develop future leaders by coaching Crew Members, Shift Leaders, and Assistant Managers
• Build strong relationships within the local community and represent the Jersey Mike's brand
• Analyze restaurant performance and implement plans to achieve goals
• Partner with Regional Manager to improve results and develop your team

What You'll Do

As a General Manager, you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of your restaurant while creating an environment where both guests and team members thrive.

Your responsibilities include:

• Building strong relationships within the local community while representing the Jersey Mike's brand
• Analyzing restaurant performance and implementing action plans to achieve operational goals
• Partnering with your Regional Manager to continuously improve results and develop your team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for leaders who:

• Have previous restaurant management experience, preferably as a General Manager, Assistant Manager, or multi-unit leader
• Have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams
• Are passionate about developing and mentoring others
• Lead with integrity, accountability, and a positive attitude
• Thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
• Understand restaurant financials, including labor, food cost, sales, and profitability
• Have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Take ownership of results and continuously look for opportunities to improve
• Create a culture where team members feel supported, valued, and motivated

Experience with quick-service or fast-casual restaurants is preferred, but we welcome leaders from other hospitality and retail environments who have a passion for people and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant management experience required
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must meet applicable age requirements for operating certain equipment where required by state or local regulations
• Food safety certification may be required and will be provided or supported if applicable
