Job summary

Jenkins Restorations in North Carolina seeks a Restoration General Manager to lead daily office operations and coordinate field teams, aligning with district strategy.

The GM will serve as Estimator and Project Manager for large losses as needed, oversee budgeting and payroll, and sustain key insurer relationships to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English clearly with customers and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the office and field personnel.
  • Act as Estimator and/or Project Manager for large losses as needed.
  • Manage office strategy, budgeting, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Maintain client relationships with insurance companies and attorneys as needed.
  • Supervise staffing, payroll, and facility maintenance.
  • Invoicing approval and coordination; support program changes to the team.

The Restoration General Manager reports to the District Director with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant’s heart. The Restoration General Manager is primarily responsible for managing the daily operations of the office, including direct oversight of office and field personnel. He/she will serve as Estimator and/or Project Manager of Large Claims as needed; and/or any other role needed for the branch’s health. They should embody Jenkins Restorations’ core values, including, Can-do Attitude, Excellent Execution, Do the Right Thing, Actions of a Servant, and Responsible Stewardship (C.E.D.A.R).JOB RESPONSIBILITIES for the Restoration General Manager:OFFICE STRATEGY & BUDGETINGRestoration General Manager develops and implement office strategy with management teamManages budgetReviews profit margins and handles concerns as they ariseReviews and monitors cash collections on a monthly basisSTAFFING & FACILITIESRestoration General Manager conducts annual performance reviewsHandles staffing issue as neededPayroll review and submissionForecast staffing needsInsure facility maintenanceCLAIMS OVERSIGHTRestoration General Manager supplement efforts are either ESC or Small claims as neededServes as Estimator for large losses as neededServes as a Project Manager for large losses as neededHandles warranty complaintsCommunicate “Program” changes to the entire claims management team as they ariseMonitor and develop program/client relationships with insurance companiesField sales and other inquiry phone calls as neededDeal with attorney on collections and legal mattersInvoicing approval and submissionAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university with a record of strong academic achievement.Experience: At least one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS:The Restoration General Manager must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in the English language.TECHNICAL SKILLS:To perform this job successfully, the Restoration General Manager should have knowledge of industry related software be able to “touch type” and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); able to communicate via cell phone and appropriate apps.REASONING ABILITY:The Restoration General Manager should possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They should also have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in the English language.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is also frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The Restoration General Manager is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
