Job summary

Jenkins Restorations in Chantilly, VA seeks a Large Loss Restoration Project Manager to lead large, complex remediation and reconstruction projects. You will manage deadlines, budget, safety, and quality while coordinating with the client and estimator.

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll supervise crews and subcontractors, handle scope changes, invoicing, and inspections, and uphold our service standards and ethical values on every project.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of construction estimating experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to pass background, driving record, and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the construction of structures based on a scope of work written by an estimator.
  • Manage all employees and subcontractors on the jobsites.
  • Communicate effectively to set and manage client expectations.
  • Work with the client to execute changes in scope, price, and timeline.
  • Oversee all aspects of jobsite safety and quality with weekly inspections.
  • Maintain a planned schedule and budget based on contract scope of work.
  • Secure plans, permits, and inspections with the local building department.
  • Responsible for invoicing and collection of funds per contract.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Large Loss Restoration Project Manager reports to the General Manager with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant’s heart. The Large Loss Restoration Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing large and/or complex construction jobs. This person manages deadlines, progress, and quality on multiple projects simultaneously. They should embody Jenkins Restorations’ core values, including, Can-do Attitude, Excellent Execution, Do the Right Thing, Actions of a Servant, and Responsible Stewardship (C.E.D.A.R).JOB RESPONSIBILITIES for the Large Loss Restoration Project Manager:Large Loss Restoration Project Manager plans and executes the construction of structures based on a scope of work written by an estimatorManages all employees and subcontractors on the jobsitesCommunicates effectively to set and manage client expectationsLarge Loss Restoration Project Manager works with the client to execute changes in the scope, price, and timelineOversees all aspects of jobsite safety and quality while conducting weekly site inspectionsLarge Loss Restoration Project Manager keeps a well-planned out schedule and budget for each project based on the contract scope of workWorks with the estimator and client to secure the proper plans, permits, and inspections per the local building departmentResponsible for invoicing and collection of funds per contractAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:High School diploma or GED required; 2+ years of construction estimating experience; equivalent combination of education and experienceRestoration industry experience preferredBasic math skills (equivalent to those needed at a GED level)Regularly required to climb roofs, crawl into confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, which includes being able to carry a 28’ ladder from their truck and setting it up at the roof line of the associated propertyExcellent customer service and communication skills using English languageGreat attitude, trustworthy, dependable, and a pleasant personalityAble to pass a background check, driving record check, and regular employee drug screeningsLANGUAGE SKILLS:The Large Loss Restoration Project Manager must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in the English language.TECHNICAL SKILLS:To perform this job successfully, the Large Loss Restoration Project Manager should have knowledge of industry related software be able to “touch type” and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); able to communicate via cell phone and appropriate apps.All positions that require driving will require the employee to be 21+ years of age for safety compliance.REASONING ABILITY:The Large Loss Restoration Project Manager should possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They should also have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in the English language.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is also frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The Large Loss Restoration Project Manager is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
