Job summary

Jenkins Restorations in Rockville, MD seeks a Large Loss Restoration Project Manager to lead large and complex construction projects with a servant’s heart. You’ll manage deadlines, budget, quality, and client expectations across multiple sites, reporting to the General Manager.

This full-time role offers a base salary of $115,000–$180,000 plus commission. Responsibilities include planning and executing construction, coordinating with estimators and clients on scope changes, supervising crews

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; 2+ years of construction estimating experience.
  • Restoration industry experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills applicable to estimating.
  • Excellent customer service and English communication.
  • Must pass background, driving record, and regular employee drug screenings; 21+ for driving positions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the construction of structures based on a scope of work written by an estimator.
  • Manage all employees and subcontractors on the jobsites.
  • Communicate effectively to set and manage client expectations.
  • Work with the client to execute changes in the scope, price, and timeline.
  • Oversee all safety and quality on-site with weekly inspections.
  • Keep a well-planned out schedule and budget for each project based on the contract scope.
  • Work with the estimator and client to secure the proper plans, permits, and inspections per the local building department.
  • Responsible for invoicing and collection of funds per contract.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Large Loss Restoration Project Manager reports to the General Manager with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant’s heart. The Large Loss Restoration Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing large and/or complex construction jobs. This person manages deadlines, progress, and quality on multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications & Skills
  • High School diploma or GED required; 2+ years of construction estimating experience; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Restoration industry experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills (equivalent to those needed at a GED level).
  • Regularly required to climb roofs and crawl into confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces; able to carry a 28‑foot ladder from the truck and set it up at the roof line.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills using English.
  • Great attitude, trustworthy, dependable, and a pleasant personality.
  • Ability to pass a background check, driving record check, and regular employee drug screenings.
  • All positions that require driving will require the employee to be 21+ years of age for safety compliance.
Language Skills

The Large Loss Restoration Project Manager must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of the organization in the English language.

Technical Skills

To perform this job successfully, the Large Loss Restoration Project Manager should have knowledge of industry‑related software, be able to “touch type,” and be familiar with software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). Able to communicate via cell phone and appropriate apps.

Reasoning Ability

The Large Loss Restoration Project Manager should possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in English.

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, lift or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate. Appropriate safety equipment is furnished.
