Job summary

Fox Valley Golf Club is seeking a dynamic, visible General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the club, including golf operations, the pro shop, food & beverage, membership, staffing and financial performance. The role reports directly to the Board and is year-round with lighter activity in off-season months.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a member-first approach.

Qualifications

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and general club logistics.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills with a member-first approach.
• PGA of America Membership is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee golf operations, including pro shop management, tournament execution and outside events.
• Supervise the operations of the club's bar and dining areas, ensuring exceptional service, quality control, and an inviting atmosphere.
• Oversee member onboarding and retention initiatives to ensure a thriving club community.
• Maintain a highly visible and welcoming presence for the membership, fostering strong relationships and a quality member experience.
• Partner with the Board of Directors to execute strategic goals, manage the club's annual operating budget, and ensure long-term financial health.
• Act as the primary liaison between the membership and the Board of Directors
• Promote a positive, team-oriented workplace culture
• Responsible for hiring, scheduling, discipline, vendor management and operational decision making for golf operations, and restaurant bar and dining.
• Serve as the primary ambassador for Fox Valley Golf Club.
• Facilities maintenance coordination.
• A hands-on management approach
• Serve as the head professional (if applicable)

This role is designed for a leader who excels in golf operations and member engagement. The General Manager will provide overall leadership for golf operations, the pro shop, food & beverage, membership, staffing and the financial performance of the club.
