Job summary

Fox Valley Golf Club in Appleton, Wisconsin, seeks a dynamic General Manager to lead day-to-day club operations and member engagement. The role covers golf operations, pro shop, food & beverage, membership, staffing, and financial performance.

Reporting to the Board, this year-round position emphasizes leadership and hands-on management. The successful candidate will enhance member experiences, manage budgets, and drive long-term financial health while maintaining a visible, welcoming presence

Qualifications

• Strong financial acumen with budgets, P&L experience, and general club logistics.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills with a member-first approach.
• PGA of America Membership is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee golf operations, including pro shop management, tournament execution and outside events.
• Supervise the operations of the club's bar and dining areas, ensuring exceptional service and quality.
• Oversee member onboarding and retention initiatives to ensure a thriving club community.
• Maintain a highly visible and welcoming presence for the membership, fostering strong relationships.
• Partner with the Board of Directors to execute strategic goals and manage the annual operating budget.

Job description

Fox Valley Golf Club is seeking a dynamic, visible, and hands-on General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the club. This role is designed for a leader who excels in golf operations and member engagement. The General Manager will provide overall leadership for golf operations, the pro shop, food & beverage, membership, staffing and the financial performance of the club. They will report directly to the Board of Directors. It is a year round position with less activity in the off season months.

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and general club logistics.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills with a member-first approach
• PGA of America Membership is preferred but not required.
• Oversee golf operations, including pro shop management, tournament execution and outside events.
• Supervise the operations of the club's bar and dining areas, ensuring exceptional service, quality control, and an inviting atmosphere.
• Oversee member onboarding and retention initiatives to ensure a thriving club community.
• Maintain a highly visible and welcoming presence for the membership, fostering strong relationships and a quality member experience.
• Partner with the Board of Directors to execute strategic goals, manage the club's annual operating budget, and ensure long-term financial health.
• Act as the primary liaison between the membership and the Board of Directors
• Promote a positive, team-oriented workplace culture
• Responsible for hiring, scheduling, discipline, vendor management and operational decision making for golf operations, and restaurant bar and dining.
• Serve as the primary ambassador for Fox Valley Golf Club.
• Facilities maintenance coordination.

• Serve as the head professional (if applicable)
