Job Description
Summary
Manages and assumes responsibility for all functions of a Papa John's restaurant to ensure high-quality products and customer service are delivered, supporting restaurant profitability. This role requires a self-sufficient leader who makes quality decisions and fosters pride and accountability among team members. Responsibilities include managing operations, executing company policies, procedures, programs, and systems, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and ethical practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide quality products by establishing a system of quality assurance with team members, ensuring each product meets Papa John's standards and accurately reflects customer orders. Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns, solicit and utilize feedback to improve operations, and promote quality standards using available tools.
- Recruit, train, and develop customer-focused team members, maintain staffing levels, ensure compliance with appearance standards, set performance expectations, conduct reviews, document issues, and take disciplinary actions when necessary. Foster a team environment of teamwork, energy, and fun.
- Achieve sales goals through excellent customer service, training on products and sales techniques, and implementing creative local marketing strategies to build community presence.
- Manage profit margins by controlling food, labor, and other costs within budget, using the PROFIT System to analyze and correct deviations. Oversee administrative and cash management duties, inventory levels, and ensure the restaurant's assets are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with safety standards.

- Basic accounting skills, including invoice reconciliation and financial statement analysis

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Stable employment history
- Two years of successful restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred
Physical Demands
Repetitive hand use, standing for long periods, walking, grasping, fine finger dexterity, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, and over 51 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment
Outdoor work in various temperatures, noisy environments, near mechanical parts, with equipment or chemicals, and exposure to fumes, odors, dust, or toxins.
