Role Description

The General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Nashville, TN, responsible for overseeing daily operations across transportation and warehousing activities. This position manages cross-functional teams, ensures operational excellence in middle mile and final mile services, and drives continuous improvement in processes and performance. The General Manager monitors key performance indicators, manages budgets, and collaborates with internal stakeholders and clients to meet service commitments and optimize supply chain solutions. The role also involves developing staff, enforcing safety and compliance standards, supporting strategic planning, and contributing to technology and process implementations that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain leadership within transportation and warehousing environments.
• Proficiency in strategic planning, process improvement, and performance management for complex, multi-site operations.
• Strong people management skills, including team leadership, coaching, staffing, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and use KPIs to guide decision-making and drive operational outcomes.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with clients, partners, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, and other relevant technologies.
• Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements related to transportation and warehousing operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Track record of working in industries such as manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, food & beverage, or CPG is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Nashville, TN, with flexibility to respond to operational needs as required.
