Job summary

Replex Plastics seeks an experienced General Manager to lead operations, drive growth, and strengthen customer and supplier relationships from its Mount Vernon, Ohio facility. You will steer day-to-day operations, shape long-term strategy, and coach leaders to achieve profitability and quality goals.

The role requires a hands-on, collaborative leader with a track record in manufacturing and business development, plus a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or a related industry.
• Experience leading operations, sales, or business development.
• Demonstrated experience managing financial performance, including profit and loss responsibility.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Proven ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees.
• A collaborative, hands-on leadership style.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.

We're looking for an experienced General Manager who combines strong operational leadership with proven sales and business development experience to lead Replex into its next phase of growth. This isn't a turnaround opportunity. We already have a strong leadership team, loyal customers, and a culture built on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Compensation & Rewards

Base Salary:$140,000-$160,000, based on experience

Bonus Program: Quarterly bonuses based on company performance

What You'll Do

Lead the Business

• Provide leadership for the day-to-day operation of the business
• Develop and execute strategies that support long-term growth and profitability
• Monitor financial performance and key business metrics to guide decision-making
• Ensure departments are aligned around company priorities and objectives

Business Development

• Build and strengthen relationships with existing customers while pursuing new business opportunities
• Lead the development of new business opportunities, including customer inquiries, project planning, cost modeling, pricing, and quotations
• Prepare annual sales forecasts and support strategic business planning
• Represent Replex during customer visits, sales calls, and industry events
• Lead strategic account management while supporting domestic and international sales growth

Develop People

• Coach and develop department leaders
• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Improve the Business

• Lead initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and profitability
• Support ERP, technology, and process improvements
• Strengthen systems that prepare the business for future growth

Supplier & Strategic Partnerships

• Negotiate key purchasing agreements and material strategies
• Support reliable supply, cost competitiveness, and long-term partnerships

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or a related industry
• Experience leading operations, sales, or business development
• Demonstrated experience managing financial performance, including profit and loss responsibility
• Strong business and financial acumen
• Proven ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees
• A collaborative, hands-on leadership style
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and leadership experience

Preferred

• MBA or other advanced business education
• Executive leadership experience within manufacturing
• Experience working in an EOS® organization
• ERP implementation or optimization experience
• Experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
• Plastics, thermoforming, or related manufacturing experience
