Replex Plastics, a trusted manufacturer of optical plastic components in the United States, seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead production, develop the manufacturing team, and drive continuous improvement in Mount Vernon, Ohio. This hands-on role requires turning production challenges into lasting improvements.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, accountability, and developing people, with a base salary of $120,000–$135,000 and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing management experience with direct leadership responsibility.
• Proven success improving production performance and developing teams.
• Strong production planning, scheduling, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to analyze KPIs and use data to drive decisions.
• Strong communication and cross functional leadership skills.
• Financial understanding of product costing and the impact of production decisions.
• Experience in an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Deming, or continuous improvement experience.
• Plastics, thermoforming, or related manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive on-time shipping through effective planning and scheduling.
• Manage production performance, including labor, scrap, workflow, output, and efficiency.
• Set clear daily production goals and use results to guide decisions.
• Balance production priorities, staffing, and resources to meet customer needs.
• Coach and develop production supervisors and leads.
• Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback on performance.
• Ensure operators receive the training needed to succeed and grow.
• Partner with HR on hiring, performance management, and production staffing needs.
• Lead 5S, SMED, and continuous improvement efforts throughout production.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support PDCA, PPAPs, First Article Submissions, Work Instructions, and Product Profiles.
• Support the continued improvement of The Replex Way Manual.
• Use production and quality data to identify opportunities and improve results.

We're looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead our production operation, develop our manufacturing team, and drive continuous improvement. This is a hands on leadership role for someone who uses data to make decisions, holds people accountable, and knows how to turn production challenges into lasting improvements.

Compensation & Rewards

Base Salary:$120,000–$135,000, based on experience

Bonus Program: Quarterly bonuses based on company performance

What You'll Do

Lead Production

• Drive 99% or better on time shipping through effective planning and scheduling
• Manage production performance, including labor, scrap, workflow, output, and efficiency
• Set clear daily production goals and use results to guide decisions
