General Manager Job Summary:

• Manage, coach, recognize performance, direct activities, and establish priorities for Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Crew members to ensure efficient and effective restaurant operations.
• Create and measure exceptional guest experiences.
• Coordinate and implement new product introductions and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all security, food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Maintain cost controls and meet sales and profit goals.
• Administer all in-restaurant records and procedures, including payroll, inventories, security, and employee files.
• Lead the restaurant management team in recruitment, hiring, retention, employee relations, and corrective actions.
• Promote a respectful and diverse workplace environment.

Requirements:

• Experience: Must be an EPL Assistant Manager or have at least 2 years of management experience, preferably in a restaurant environment. Familiarity with Point-Of-Sale systems is desired.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred; college education is a plus.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; second language is a plus.
• Competencies: Basic math and computer skills, strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Driving/Vehicle: Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a reliable vehicle for company use.
• Food Handler Card: Must have a Serve Safe Certificate at hire or obtain one upon hire and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class, if applicable.
• Physical Demands: The General Manager regularly stands, walks, talks, hears, uses vision, tastes, or smells; lifts up to 20 lbs.; and reaches/handles/feels/grasp objects. Occasionally, the role involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting objects up to 40 lbs.

Job Details:

• Work Hours: Full-Time schedule, including shifts in the morning, midday, and evening. Our restaurants are not open 24 hours.

• Work Attire: EPL logo’d shirt provided; black slacks and no-slip shoes required.
