This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonalds USA. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald's logos and food products and will be your employer, not McDonalds USA. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters.

Responsibilities

The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The General Manager works with his/her leader to set the restaurant’s goals and creates a plan to achieve those goals.

To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers who have specific responsibilities. He or she helps the Department Managers set their own goals, follows up on their progress, and provides coaching and direction to improve their departments. By improving each department, the restaurant improves overall.

The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience running high‑volume locations. A background in quick‑service restaurants, hospitality, or retail is strongly desired. Candidates must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our restaurants.
