Job summary

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead one of our fast-casual restaurants. You will own the restaurant’s performance, develop people, ensure hospitality, and drive strong operational and financial results.

You will manage daily operations, uphold food safety standards, and coach the team to deliver excellent guest service while maintaining Freddy’s standards. This role emphasizes ownership and team development.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management experience required.
• General Manager experience in QSR or fast-casual preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Ability to manage labor, food cost, inventory, scheduling, and profitability.
• Commitment to food safety and operational standards.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is seeking an experienced, people-focused General Manager to lead one of our restaurants. We're looking for a hands-on leader who takes ownership of their restaurant, develops great people, delivers an exceptional guest experience, and drives strong operational and financial results.

As General Manager, you are responsible for the overall performance of your restaurant—including your people, operations, food safety, guest experience, sales, labor, food cost, inventory, and profitability.

What You'll Do

As General Manager, you'll lead all aspects of your restaurant's daily operations. You will:

• Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable the restaurant management team and team members
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain a strong restaurant team
• Build a positive, respectful, and accountable restaurant culture
• Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, accurate service and genuine hospitality
• Maintain Freddy’s standards for food quality, preparation, portioning, presentation, cleanliness, and hospitality
• Take ownership of restaurant cleanliness, organization, maintenance, and overall condition
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, and food safety procedures are followed at all times
• Ensure required food safety and temperature logs are completed accurately, honestly, and on time
• Immediately address and elevate food safety concerns and ensure unsafe food is never served
• Develop and manage employee schedules based on sales forecasts and business needs
• Manage labor effectively while maintaining appropriate staffing and service levels
• Manage food cost, waste, inventory, ordering, and product controls
• Conduct inventory counts and ensure accurate product management
• Analyze restaurant sales, labor, food cost, guest counts, guest feedback, and other performance metrics
• Develop and execute action plans to improve restaurant performance
• Drive sales growth and identify opportunities to increase guest traffic
• Ensure proper cash handling, deposits, register controls, and other financial procedures
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and build a strong leadership pipeline
• Train and develop Shift Supervisors and future restaurant leaders
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and Freddy’s brand standards are consistently followed
• Address employee performance concerns promptly and consistently
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure appropriate resolution
• Maintain required restaurant records, documentation, and operational reportingIdentify equipment and maintenance issues and ensure they are reported and addressed promptly
• Partner with above-store leadership on restaurant performance and improvement opportunities
• Lead by example and work restaurant positions alongside the team when needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous restaurant management experience required
• General Manager experience preferredQSR or fast-casual restaurant experience preferredStrong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills
• Demonstrated ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive culture
• Strong understanding of labor, food cost, inventory, scheduling, and restaurant profitability
• Strong commitment to food safety and operational standards
• Ability to recruit, train, develop, and retain employees
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyze restaurant performance and turn opportunities into actionable plans
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of restaurant results
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Ability to perform the physical duties required in a fast-paced restaurant environment
