ExplorUS is hiring a results-driven General Manager to lead a high-volume hospitality operation at Thousand Hills State Park in Missouri. You will oversee retail, food & beverage, lodging, and guest services while guiding a diverse team to deliver standout guest experiences.

This hands-on role focuses on sales growth, budgeting, and operational excellence, with a strong emphasis on safety, guest satisfaction, and staff development. Competitive benefits and relocation support are offered.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of progressive hospitality management experience with emphasis in retail and/or F&B.
  • Proven hospitality leadership experience with strong retail and/or F&B operations knowledge.
  • Demonstrated success driving sales growth, managing budgets, and improving profitability.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales, profitability, and operational performance across retail, food & beverage, lodging, and guest services.
  • Lead, coach, and develop department managers and frontline teams to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue, guest experience, efficiency, and overall business performance.
  • Partner with senior leadership to execute company initiatives, marketing strategies, and operational objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash handling, and financial accountability.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service standards and a strong customer-focused culture.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, environmental practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, employee engagement, housing oversight, and team development initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between company leadership and park stakeholders/community partners.

We are seeking a results-driven General Manager to lead a high-volume hospitality operation that combines retail, food & beverage, guest services, lodging, and recreation. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in sales growth, team development, operational excellence, and guest experience.

The General Manager oversees all aspects of the operation, including financial performance, revenue generation, team leadership, safety, and guest satisfaction. Success in this role requires a strong business mindset, the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success driving sales growth, managing budgets, and improving profitability
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Experience with POS systems, reporting, and Microsoft Office
  • Passion for hospitality, guest experience, and team culture
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • This is an active, hands-on role requiring extended periods of standing in a fast-paced environment, with frequent bending, lifting, twisting, and carrying up to 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
