The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is responsible for managing daily operations of a single restaurant (10-45 employees), ensuring guest satisfaction and achieving desired outcomes such as increased sales, profitability, and employee retention. The RGM leads the management team and oversees financial controls, operations, people development, guest service, and compliance across all shifts. This role requires working long and irregular shifts as needed. The position reports to a District Manager (DM) and manages Team Members, Shift Managers, and Assistant Managers. The RGM interacts with restaurant staff, management, customers, field operations, and vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products to maximize guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance of restaurant facilities and equipment according to company standards.
  • Motivate and direct team members to exceed customer expectations with fast, friendly service in a clean environment.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members and management staff.
  • Handle profit and loss management, marketing strategies, and cash control/security procedures.
  • Manage inventory, labor, and analyze financial reports to improve results.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, company policies, employment laws, food safety, and security.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and retention of effective team members.
  • Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance for shifts, meetings, and training.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college preferred.
  • Complete all internal certification programs.
  • 1-2 years of restaurant management experience.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management to influence profitability.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work and meet deadlines.
  • English language proficiency preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Responsiveness to cell phone calls at all times.
  • Ability to handle all team responsibilities listed above.
