Weare looking for a General Manager to join our growing Fulfillment Center network. This individual will report to our Senior Director of Fulfillment and will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and overall performance of our high-volume facility. This individual will oversee all aspects of site performance, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time, with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and employee engagement. As the leader of an established fulfillment center, this individual will play a critical role in developing and empowering the leadership team, driving continuous improvement, and identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and overall site performance. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about leading people, committed to operational excellence, and energized by the opportunity to continuously improve and elevate a high-performing operation.

Schedule:

This role oversees our Farmers Branch, TX fulfillment center. While this position generally follows a schedule, operational demands during peak and seasonal periods may require leaders to work additional hours beyond their regular schedule. Leaders are expected to maintain a flexible schedule and adjust their working hours as needed to support the business and their teams.

Travel:

This position requires travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY up to 3 times per year for internal meetings, leadership development, and team building activities. Additionally, please note the selected individual will be required to travel to our other fulfillment centers for onboarding and training. We reimburse reasonable and necessary business travel expenses.

Salary:

$139,400 – $174,250 per year

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all processes and procedures for all inbound, outbound, inventory control and facility operations
• Ensure the teams are staffed appropriately to operate at peak efficiency and complete all assigned tasks daily
• Manage the work performance of each member of the leadership team to ensure productivity standards and KPI metrics are consistently being met
• Identify, lead, and support continuous improvement initiatives that drive customer service, accuracy, and productivity efficiencies while reducing operating cost
• Determine the root cause of process opportunities, addressing issues and piloting resolutions to standard
• Support the Senior Director of Fulfillment in the standardization of the overall operations of the fulfillment center
• Partner and communicate with management/leadership to ensure alignment of objectives, problem solve, provide operational updates, and develop new operational procedure and strategies
• Build a high-performing leadership team through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and talent development
• Deliver performance reviews and conduct monthly check-ins with each member of the leadership team to establish rapport and provide feedback
• Address performance related incidents that arise and recommending a course of action on all disciplinary and personnel issues
• Train and develop fulfillment leadership through coaching, mentoring, and effective communication to develop a strong culture of employee engagement
• Attend and participate in the HR and cross-functional meetings
• Create and promote a safe working environment for all employees while developing a safety culture in which an employee feels safe and comfortable in their areas of responsibility
• Lead by example and maintain professional standards in the workplace

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 7 years of applicable experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution management, with direct oversight of multiple teams or departments
• 3 years of experience as a General Manager
• Understanding of distribution flow, operational systems, integration, and automation
• Proven ability to analyze KPIs and develop data-driven strategies to improve performance and employee engagement
• Strong background in process improvement, including identifying workflow inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions
• Fundamental understanding of inventory, supply chain and logistics concepts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Outlook, and Excel)
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to see the “big picture” and identify/forecast developing issues
• Strong problem-solving, time management, multitasking, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and align with executive leadership, while also connecting effectively with frontline associates
• Proven track record of achieving operational goals related to productivity, accuracy, and cost efficiency
• Ability to work independently, multitask and follow process and standard procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an automated warehouse environment, including experience with a Tier 1 warehouse management system (WMS), conveyor systems, and robotics
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, with strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish
• Experience overseeing a team of at least 100 associates, 200+ preferred
