POSITION SUMMARY

Highland Park Village, the first inward-facing open-air shopping center in the United States and one of the premier luxury destinations in North America, seeks an experienced General Manager (GM) to lead its operations. The GM will elevate the guest experience, cultivate tenant relationships, drive business performance, and preserve the Village’s legacy as a luxury retail destination of the first rank.

The ideal candidate brings a proven record as a General Manager in luxury hospitality, with an exceptional ability to lead diverse teams and deliver elevated service standards. This is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role that pairs strategic vision with operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Excellence
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Highland Park Village, ensuring seamless execution across all departments, including security, maintenance, guest services, and events.
  • Drive a culture of five-star hospitality and personalized service consistent with the expectations of a luxury clientele.
  • Monitor and improve tenant satisfaction, guest experience, and operational KPIs.
  • Lead emergency response procedures, crisis management planning, and health and safety compliance.
Tenant & Stakeholder Relations
  • Foster strong relationships with luxury retail and dining tenants through active communication, engagement, and service support.
  • Collaborate with leasing, marketing, and property management teams to align on strategic objectives and performance targets.
  • Develop and manage the operating budget, including forecasting, reporting, and cost control.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics and allocate resources for the strongest long‑term return.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Hire, train, and mentor a high‑performing team across all service lines.
  • Build a work environment that rewards excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Lead with authenticity and integrity while cultivating a collaborative, high‑energy workplace.
Guest Experience & Brand Stewardship
  • Serve as the face of Highland Park Village, representing its ethos of elegance, tradition, and refinement.
  • Continually elevate the guest experience through attention to detail, hospitality initiatives, and the highest standards of service.
  • Support marketing initiatives, seasonal activations, and community engagement events.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in the luxury hospitality industry, including at least five years as General Manager of a five-star hotel, luxury resort, or luxury retail shopping center.
  • Demonstrated success managing high‑traffic, high‑touch service environments.
  • Deep understanding of luxury brand standards and client expectations.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen.
  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
