DineAmic Hospitality in Chicago is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high-volume, full-service restaurant. You will inspire and develop teams, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and drive sales and profitability while upholding our operational standards.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of management practice in a busy dining environment, a track record of revenue growth, and strength in recruiting, coaching, and staff development.

DineAmic Hospitality is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead one of our high-volume, full-service restaurants. This role is responsible for inspiring and developing teams, delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales and profitability, and upholding the operational excellence that defines the DineAmic brand.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, a proven track record of building high-performing teams, and at least five years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment. They bring creative strategies for growing revenue and guest loyalty, while excelling in recruiting, coaching, and developing team members to achieve both individual and business success.

Essential Duties + Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure productivity, quality, service, and hospitality standards are consistently met.
  • Support restaurant goals across all areas of operations to drive sales growth, repeat business, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Build rapport and establish relationships with guests to enhance the overall dining experience and encourage guest loyalty.
  • Monitor expenditures, identify variances, minimize waste, and support cost-control initiatives.
  • Organize, lead, and supervise smooth and efficient daily shifts, including opening and closing responsibilities, while ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence by supporting service teams with table preparation, food delivery, guest recovery, and overall service execution as needed.
  • Maintain restaurant ambiance by monitoring lighting, music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, utensils, food presentation, and service standards.
  • Recruit, select, onboard, train, coach, counsel, and develop employees to meet operational and cultural expectations.
  • Clearly communicate job expectations, performance standards, and developmental feedback to team members.
  • Monitor, address, and document employee performance through ongoing feedback, positive recognition, formal performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary action when necessary, up to and including employment termination.
  • Adhere to and enforce Company and restaurant policies and procedures, ensuring all required paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards, safety procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure restaurant and team compliance with all Company policies, restaurant procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend operational improvements, resolve challenges, and implement systems that support efficiency, consistency, and continued growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience And Education Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant; fine dining or upscale dining experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, managing profitability, and delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a positive and accountable workplace culture.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing labor, food and beverage costs, budgets, and financial performance.
  • Experience overseeing multiple restaurant locations and/or leading new restaurant openings is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to establish goals, execute strategic initiatives, and effectively communicate direction and expectations to team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing business needs.
Physical Demands + Work Environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, often exceeding 8 hours per shift.
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of the restaurant, including dining rooms, bars, kitchens, storage areas, and office spaces.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and perform other physical activities associated with restaurant operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a positive demeanor.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business needs require.
  • Regular exposure to varying temperatures, including kitchen heat, refrigeration units, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Frequent interaction with guests, team members, vendors, and business partners in a dynamic hospitality environment.
