Job summary

Here at Home Healthcare in the Chesterfield/St. Louis area is seeking a General Manager to run daily operations and take over the operations work today handled by one of the owners. You will lead an office team and caregivers, serving as the main point of contact for families and staff.

The role covers intake, scheduling, payroll, invoicing, and overnight on-call. It includes oversight of CareScout partnerships and weekly admin reviews, with benefits planned for 2027 and a hybrid work

Qualifications

• 2+ years running daily operations at a non-medical home care or home health agency (scheduling, caregivers, families).
• Missouri residency required.
• Clean criminal background (background check part of hiring).
• RN license not required.

Responsibilities

• Take first call from every family who inquires and guide them from assessment to first shift.
• Discuss schedules, start dates, and pricing; send onboarding paperwork.
• Handle family concerns and billing questions the same day.
• Interview caregiver candidates and run background checks and drug tests.
• Review hours and run payroll in Gusto twice a month; manage invoicing in QuickBooks.
• Cover overnight on-call and be the direct contact for serious situations.
• Manage CareScout network partnership, including new family referrals.
• Read office daily reports and join weekly admin meetings as needed.

Here at Home Healthcare is a locally owned in-home care agency in Chesterfield. We compassionately support clients and their families at home across the St. Louis area, with companionship, personal care, and recovery support. We're hiring a full-time General Manager to run the agency day to day and take over the operations work one of our owners handles today.

You'll lead our office team (a Senior Care Manager, a Care Coordinator, and a Care Assistant) and our caregivers, and you'll be the person families and staff reach when something needs a decision.

What you'll do

• Take the first call from every family who inquires, and guide them from the assessment to the first shift
• Talk with families about schedules, start dates, and pricing, and send the onboarding paperwork
• Handle family concerns and billing questions the same day they come in
• Interview caregiver candidates and run background checks and drug tests
• Review hours and run payroll in Gusto twice a month, and manage invoicing in QuickBooks
• Cover the overnight on-call and be the direct contact for serious situations
• Manage our CareScout network partnership, including new family referrals
• Read the office team's daily reports and join the weekly admin meeting as needed

Your first 90 days

• Days 1-30: work alongside our owner and learn how we run
• By day 60: own family intake and caregiver hiring
• By day 90: own payroll, CareScout, and the overnight on-call

What you bring

• 2+ years running daily operations at a non-medical home care or home health agency, including scheduling, caregivers, and families
• Comfort with Gusto and QuickBooks, or similar payroll and accounting tools
• Missouri residency
• A clean criminal background (a background check is part of hiring)
• An RN license is not required
