Job summary

Jetson is seeking a General Manager to own Colorado branch operations, building the playbook, hiring and leading a residential HVAC and electrical team, and reporting to the Regional Manager from day one. You will collaborate with HQ to refine products, use data-driven KPIs, manage regulatory compliance, and ensure top-tier customer service while safeguarding the P&L in Centennial.

Qualifications

• Grit and adaptability; build or rebuild processes without a finished playbook.
• Direct experience leading a field force of technicians, installers, or skilled trades workers in a home services environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with full P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record building high-performing teams from scratch, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and accountability.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or adjacent residential home improvement (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the service area.
• Familiarity with OSHA Electrical Standard and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Turn Colorado playbook into a repeatable operation covering scheduling, installations, service calls, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Lead a high-performing team of HVAC technicians, electricians, project coordinators, and administrative staff.
• Hire and retain top performers who exemplify Jetson values.
• Triage competing priorities and maintain momentum across initiatives.
• Mentor and develop field personnel to deliver best-in-class customer experience.
• Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships with accountability for quality and performance.
• Establish local partnerships with utilities, contractors, and community organizations to drive brand awareness.
• Navigate local regulatory, permitting, and compliance matters including Colorado licensing.
• Collaborate with HQ teams to improve products and align on strategic goals.
• Use data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and report to executives.
• Provide regular financial and operational reports to the executive team.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a General Manager to take ownership of Jetson's Colorado branch operations. This market is live and growing, with a playbook already started, but it's far from finished. You'll be the one who picks it up, perfects it, and gets the whole team executing against it, all while the ground keeps shifting underneath you. This is a role for someone who thrives without a finished script, can hold multiple high-stakes priorities at once, and still delivers when it counts.

You'll own the P&L, write the playbook, build and lead a team of residential HVAC and electrical professionals, develop strategic business plans, and uphold high standards of customer service and compliance. You'll lead from the front from day one, reporting directly to our Regional Manager.

What You'll Do

• Take the existing Colorado playbook and cultivate it into a fully built, repeatable operation, covering scheduling, installations, service calls, quality control, and safety compliance
• Build and lead a high-performing team of HVAC technicians, electricians, project coordinators, and administrative staff, adapting your approach as the market and team needs change
• Be on the ground every day leading from the front, upholding Jetson culture, and ensuring we're attracting and hiring top players who exemplify Jetson values
• Manage multiple competing, high-stakes priorities at once and know how to triage what matters most without losing momentum on the rest
• Lead, mentor, and develop your field force to deliver the best customer experience in the business
• Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, holding partners accountable to quality and performance expectations
• Establish local partnerships with utilities, contractors, and community organizations to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition
• Gather market insights and manage local regulatory, permitting, and compliance matters, including Colorado contractor licensing requirements
• Work closely with HQ teams across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to improve products, enhance customer experiences, and align on strategic goals
• Use data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and align with corporate goals
• Provide regular financial and operational reports to the executive team

What You'll Bring

• Grit and adaptability: a track record of building or rebuilding process in environments without a finished playbook, prioritizing and executing under real constraint, and making the right call when several urgent things compete for your attention at once, all while still hitting the numbers
• Direct experience leading a field force of technicians, installers, or skilled trades workers in a home services or field service environment
• An entrepreneurial mindset with experience running a business or division with full P&L responsibility
• A proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams from scratch, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and holding people accountable
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with a demonstrated track record of success
• Proficiency in business software, CRM systems, and Google Workspace, plus experience with modern tools including AI to automate and improve daily operations
• Background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or adjacent residential home improvement (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the service area
• Familiarity with OSHA Electrical Standard and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $150,000 - $175,000 per annum
