Job summary

Moby Dick House of Kabob is seeking a high-energy General Manager to lead one of our locations, develop strong teams, and drive operational excellence. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, train staff, and ensure outstanding guest experiences while meeting performance goals.

You will oversee scheduling, coaching, and performance management, and collaborate with the Area Director on regional calls and budget reviews to keep the restaurant thriving and aligned with brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Review store performance against goal/budget (Sales, COGs, Labor).
• Prepare for and attend weekly regional calls.
• Create store labor schedules and submit for approval.
• Review and approve invoices in Restaurant365 (R365).
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with AGM and SL.
• Attend monthly P&L reviews with Area Director.
• Attend all quarterly GM meetings.
• Participate in the QBR process.
• Drive local restaurant marketing to boost sales.
• Develop your team using training tools and mentorship.
• Maintain store facilities and resolve repair/maintenance issues.
• Control costs (COGS, Labor, supplies).
• Ensure guest satisfaction with average 4.5-star ratings.

Schedule Expectations:

• Minimum 50 hours per week across at least 5 days.
• Schedule must include at least 2 closing shifts and 1 weekend shift per week (rotating days).

Responsibilities:

• Review store performance and track against goal/budget:
• Sales
• Cost of Goods Sold (COGs)
• Labor
• Leadership Tracker
• R&M Tracker
• Prepare for and attend weekly regional calls
• Create store labor schedules and submit for approval
• Review and approve all open invoices in Restaurant365 (R365).
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with each Assistant General Manager (AGM) and Shift Leader (SL).
• Attend monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) review with your Area Director.
• Attend all quarterly in-person GM Meetings.
• Participate in the Quarterly Budget Review (QBR) process
• Drive Sales through Local Restaurant Marketing.
• Develop Your Team using Moby Dick’s training tools, mentorship, and support.
• Keeping up with all repair and maintenance and ensure store facilities are in good working order
• Control Costs (Cost of Goods Sold, Labor, supplies, etc.).
• Ensure Guest Satisfaction. Achieve and maintain an average of 4.5-star ratings on Google, Yelp, and other review platforms.
• Uphold Company Culture by fostering a workplace that aligns with Moby Dick’s values.
• Manage Staffing – hiring, firing, and wage adjustments.
