General Manager Job Summary:
  • Manage, coach, recognize performance, and direct activities for Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Crew Members to ensure efficient and effective restaurant operations.
  • Create and measure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Coordinate and implement new product introductions and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with security, food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain cost controls and meet sales/profit goals.
  • Administer records and procedures including payroll, inventories, security, and employee files.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, retention, employee relations, and corrective actions.
  • Promote a respectful and diverse workplace environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Must be an EPL Assistant Manager or have at least 2 years of management experience, preferably in a restaurant. Familiarity with Point-Of-Sale systems is desired.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; college education is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills; second language a plus.
  • Competencies: Basic math and computer skills, strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Driving/Vehicle: Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a reliable vehicle for business use.
  • Food Handler Card: Must have or obtain a Serve Safe Certificate and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit where applicable.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk, communicate, and use vision; lift up to 20 lbs., and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
Job Details:
  • Work Hours: Full-time, with shifts including opening, mid-day, and closing; restaurants are not open 24 hours.
  • Career Advancement: Promotes heavily from within; potential to progress to Area Leader, Director of Operations, and beyond.
  • Work Attire: EPL logo’d shirt provided; black slacks and no-slip shoes required.

The pay range listed reflects the hourly or salary rate expected for the position. It does not include benefits or bonuses, which depend on eligibility. Pay varies based on experience, education, location, and other factors.
