Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and perform scheduled tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and replacing worn parts.
• Repairs and Troubleshooting: diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems; repair or replace defective parts; test equipment after repairs.
• Installation and Upgrades: assist in installation of new machinery and equipment, upgrade existing systems for efficiency and safety.
• Documentation and Reporting: maintain records of maintenance and repair activities; report significant issues to supervisor.
• Safety and Compliance: adhere to safety protocols and company policies; ensure compliance with regulations.

Job description

Alutiiq Logistics and Maintenance Services is seeking a skilled General Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will perform maintenance and repairs on all equipment under the direct supervision of the Lead Engineer or Project Manager. This position will not include standing an Engineer's watch. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in HVAC systems, and the ability to follow detailed orders and instructions. Preventive Maintenance: o Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and systems to identify any issues. o Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as lubricating, cleaning, and replacing worn parts to prevent breakdowns.

• Repairs and Troubleshooting: o Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems with equipment. o Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools. o Test equipment to ensure proper functionality after repairs.
• Installation and Upgrades: o Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment. o Upgrade existing systems to improve efficiency and safety.
• Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. o Report any significant issues or concerns to the supervisor.
• Safety and Compliance: o Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. o Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
