Facilities Services Operations and Maintenance

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

Responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the campus facilities. Will participate in and supervise basic general maintenance duties including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, moving, and hauling furniture, equipment, materials, and trash.

This is an Essential Personnel position, which may require reporting to work during emergencies and designated as essential by the supervisor for critical tasks.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic knowledge and ability to perform plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs
• Ability to use hand and electrical tools
• Ability to follow oral, written, and diagrammed instructions
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of general maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL License
