Job description

Job Title: General Maintenance Worker

The General Maintenance Worker position is based within our Facilities and Maintenance department, working with management to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy facility and property.

Job Type: Full Time. Base Hours: 10:00AM - 6:30PM, Monday through Friday.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Applicants must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily and meet educational and experience requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Skilled in sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and applying finishes to facility floors and surfaces.
2. Vacuum rugs.
3. Dust lobby, workstations, and office furniture.
4. Clean fixtures and furniture safely.
5. Replace liners in garbage cans and remove waste daily.
6. Maintain maintenance closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
7. Maintain janitorial equipment in good condition.

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• At least one year of janitorial or facility maintenance experience.

Communication Skills

• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read SDS sheets for cleaning supplies.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Initiative, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail.
• Organized, flexible, and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of modern cleaning equipment and products.
• Experience working within GMP or regulated environments (preferred).

Physical Requirements

This position requires walking, sitting, standing, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Specific vision requirements include reading and visual inspection of materials.
