Job summary

Cedar Crest Inc. is seeking a general maintenance worker in Janesville, Wisconsin. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.

Hours are 7:30AM-4:00PM with every other weekend. The role requires the ability to use hand tools and participate in training programs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related experience preferred.
• On-the-job training offered.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
• Knowledge of general repair processes.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Attend all designated in-service training programs and disaster drills.

Essential Functions

• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, filter changes, lighting replacement, and other building fixtures
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities
• Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
• Attend all designated in-service training programs and disaster drills
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands Analysis

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking

Hours for this position are from 7:30AM-4:00PM and will include every other weekend. $17/hour
