Position Details

• Job type: Onsite

• Security clearance: DoD Secret clearance required; existing active clearance required after day 1

What You Will Do

• Perform routine maintenance to the radar infrastructure.
• Apply practical skill and knowledge in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, and electrical work.
• Perform duties including replacing batteries, preparing equipment and structures for painting, cutting grass, trimming, spraying herbicides, testing fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, and brazing ground screen and radial wires.
• Assist tradesmen with electrical and HVAC work.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned and required.
• No relocation is provided for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience assisting in maintenance trades of electrical, HVAC, and buildings & ground maintenance.
• Within twelve months of hire, qualify as a Virginia Certified Pesticide Applicator (Registered Technician) and EPA certified to handle refrigerants under CAA Section 608 (Type I & II).
• Clean motor vehicle driving record to obtain authorization to drive company vehicles.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government‑issued DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions with little supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Registered State Pesticide Applicator.
• Previous or current security clearance.
