Job summary

CMI Management LLC is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment, systems and buildings at our customer site in Artesia, NM. You will perform a range of maintenance tasks across painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, masonry and electrical work.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid New Mexico driver’s license, be able to lift at least 50 lbs, and work safely in a team environment while following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid NM driver''s license.
• Ability to climb ladders and handle objects.
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Practical skill in painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, and electrical work.
• Ability to work safely and perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Replace light fixtures, motors, patch holes with joint compound.
• Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, toilets, urinals; paint structures.
• Repair or replace stone pavers/steps; install doors and locks; replace window cranks.
• Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Housekeep mechanical spaces and move furniture.
• Perform semi-skilled and skilled duties in other maintenance trades as required.

Job Description

The General Maintenance Worker provides for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment, systems, and buildings at CMI’s customer site in Artesia, NM.

Key Job Functions

• Maintain Replaces light fixtures, motors, using joint compound to patch holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
• Repairs or replaces sink faucets, water coolers, toilets, urinals, paints structures and equipment
• Repairs or replaces stone pavers/steps, hangs doors and installs door locks, and replaces broken window cranks
• Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery as required
• Performs housekeeping of mechanical spaces and rooms
• Moves furniture and equipment
• Perform semiskilled and skilled duties in other maintenance trade areas; and do other work as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid NM driver’s license
• Must be able to climb ladders, be capable of crouching, crawling, grasping and handling objects
• Pick up and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Requires practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, and electrical work.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner and all other duties assigned.
