Job summary

Burnet CISD Maintenance & Facilities is seeking a Maintenance General to perform general maintenance and repair of district buildings and systems. This full-time role supports grounds and other departments as needed, working with staff, students, and the public.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a clear Texas driver's license. Five years of maintenance experience is preferred, with knowledge of carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and safe tool use; ability to follow

• Clear and valid Texas driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled workers with repair and maintenance of district facilities, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment; perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Perform painting for district buildings both interior and exterior.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Move and install school furniture and playground equipment as needed.
• Attend required trainings and respond to after-hours events as needed.
