Job summary

RICE CISD is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and repair of district facilities and grounds. You will assist with mechanical, electrical, and sanitary systems and support with grounds upkeep.

Responsibilities include repairs on work orders, inspections of interior/exterior, and assisting with setup for events. Valid TX driver’s license required; one year maintenance experience preferred.

• Valid TX driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled workers with repair and maintenance of district facilities.
• Inspect building exterior and interior, playground equipment, and grounds.
• Detect and report needed major repairs on buildings and systems.
• Complete repairs on work orders or by maintenance foreman.
• Assist with mowing and detailing of district grounds.
• Move, install, assemble, and repair school furniture and playground equipment.
• Hang pictures, mirrors, bulletin boards and other items as needed.
