Job summary

HES is seeking a General Maintenance Technician in Baton Rouge, LA to preserve and repair school facilities. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and respond to work orders to keep buildings safe and functional.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and the ability to work on weekends for events as needed. You’ll join a nationwide facilities team focused on educational institutions, delivering reliable maintenance solutions and maintaining energy

Qualifications

• The General Maintenance worker is responsible for the overall maintenance of the School building property.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including inspection and cleaning.
• Perform routine repairs.
• Be able to work on special events on weekends as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on buildings and facilities.
• Assist in inspecting energy management systems and emergency equipment to ensure operating conditions of the facility.
• Completing work orders with written response on how the request was resolved.
• Inspection of buildings, equipment, and systems periodically to identify issues.
• Performs general maintenance tasks, as assigned.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
