Job summary

HES is hiring a General Maintenance Technician in Baton Rouge, LA to maintain school facilities and equipment within the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. The role covers preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and inspection tasks to keep buildings in optimal condition.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, monitoring energy management and emergency systems, and completing work orders with clear resolutions.

Qualifications

• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including inspection and cleaning.
• Perform routine repairs.
• Be able to work on special events on weekends as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on buildings and facilities.
• Assist in inspecting energy management systems and emergency equipment to ensure operating conditions of the facility are at appropriate conditions.
• Completing work orders with written response on how the request was resolved.
• Inspection of buildings, equipment, and systems periodically to identify any issues.
• Performs general maintenance tasks, as assigned.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
