Job summary

Phoenix Suns is seeking an experienced General Maintenance Technician 1 to support the Arena Operations Engineering Department. You will assist with routine maintenance, minor repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, and help with event setups in a fast-paced arena environment.

Responsibilities

• Support minor plumbing repairs such as leaks and faucet replacement.
• Help with basic electrical tasks under supervision.
• Complete minor flooring repairs and maintain tools.
• Report safety concerns and maintain clean work areas.
• Support senior technicians on complex repairs and projects.
• Assist with event setups and coverage as needed.

In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of the Engineering Department for Arena Operations, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.

Your Role on the Team

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks including assisting various departmental trades, light repairs, and general property upkeep
• Perform minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and various trades, as needed
• Assisting with painting, as needed, minor surface repairs with a neat, professional finish
• Perform basic carpentry work including shelving installation, wood repairs, and furniture assembly
• Assist with minor plumbing repairs such as leak fixes, drain unclogging, and faucet replacement
• Support basic electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs and troubleshooting minor issues (under supervision)
• Complete minor flooring repairs
• Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools
• Support senior technicians on more complex repairs and special projects
• Assist with event setups, installations, and coverage
• Communicate professionally with team members and vendors, if applicable to daily workflow
• Report maintenance concerns and safety issues promptly
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain clean, organized work areas
