Job summary

Player 15 Group is seeking an experienced and motivated General Maintenance Technician Level 1 to join our team at the arena operations facility in Phoenix. In this high-impact role, you will support the Engineering Department across routine maintenance, minor repairs, and event setups, playing a key part in maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years experience in general maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Strong willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Dependability and ability to follow instructions while developing independent work skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Basic familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on labor.
  • Comfort working at heights (ladders) and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks including assisting various departmental trades, light repairs, and general property upkeep.
  • Perform minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and various trades, as needed.
  • Assist with painting, smaller surface repairs with a neat, professional finish.
  • Perform basic carpentry work including shelving installation, wood repairs, and furniture assembly.
  • Assist with minor plumbing repairs such as leak fixes, drain unclogging, and faucet replacement.
  • Support basic electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs and troubleshooting minor issues (under supervision).
  • Complete minor flooring repairs.
  • Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools.
  • Support senior technicians on more complex repairs and special projects.
  • Assist with event setups, installations, and coverage.
  • Communicate professionally with team members and vendors as applicable.
  • Report maintenance concerns and safety issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain clean, organized work areas.
