CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: General Maintenance Technician

Our national maintenance and construction firm is recruiting a General Maintenance Technician willing to travel for full-time commercial construction projects across the United States.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Tradespeople must be proficient in the following skills:

• Carpentry: partition framing with metal/wood studs, installation of basic cabinetry/countertops, installation of doors/windows

• Painting: interior & exterior

• Flooring: installation of VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base

Basic knowledge of the following skills:

• Plumbing: replacement/installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines (licensed plumbers encouraged to apply)

• Electrical: replacement and installation of light fixtures, switches, outlets; capable of basic data connections and diagnosing minor electrical problems (licensed electricians encouraged to apply)

• HVAC: knowledge of refrigeration, PM service calls

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performing commercial renovations/buildouts
• Using basic computer skills
• Following OSHA requirements
• Being presentable and able to communicate effectively with customers to build relationships
• Being detailed in repairs, including measurements, pictures, recommendations, and quotes
• Working overtime and/or on-call as workload and emergencies require
• Willingness and ability to travel and work overnight shifts across the U.S. when needed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance
• Providing basic construction hand tools
• Completing OSHA 10hr training or doing so within 3 months of employment (paid by employer)
