Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a General Maintenance Technician for the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown. You will support the engineering team in maintaining the property to meet White Lodging standards, ensuring safety and appearance.

Position shift is 3 pm to 11 pm with compensation starting at $22.00 per hour. Benefits include health and retirement options, paid leave, and opportunities for growth across our markets.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, maintaining neat and efficient operations.
• Complete all work assigned safely and professionally with regular communication with supervisors.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain spare parts and bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a General Maintenance Technician at the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown, you will support the hotel’s engineering team in maintaining the property’s appearance, functionality, and safety to meet White Lodging, Brand, and Guest standards.

We are looking for someone who can work 3 pm to 11 pm - Compensation starts at $22.00 an hour!

What You’ll Do

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally, and ability to stand and move for long periods of time.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
