Job summary

Chipton-Ross Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity in Goleta, CA. The role requires a minimum of 6 years of related work experience and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

The candidate will perform routine repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry trades, interpret blueprints, and address plant infrastructure issues. This is a full-time, first-shift position with a 4/10 schedule.

• HVAC experience of at least 2 years.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment using hand and power tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and report findings to supervisor.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance needs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment. Performs basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, or associated work on plant facilities using hand and power tools.
• May be required to troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and reports them to supervisor.
• May interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• May perform routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary.
