Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a General Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity in Goleta, CA. The role requires extensive hands-on maintenance across multiple trades and HVAC.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of related work experience, be able to obtain a security clearance, and perform routine repairs using a range of tools and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a clearance.
• 6+ years of related work experience.
• Experience in plumbing, structural, electrical, painting and more.
• HVAC experience of at least 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment. Performs basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, or associated work on plant facilities using hand and power tools.
• May be required to troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and reports them to supervisor.
• May interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• May perform routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary.

• Experience in all of the labor trades such as plumbing, structural, electrical, painting and more
• At least 2 years of experience in HVAC
• Demonstrated Problem and troubleshooting skills
• Light construction
• Metalworking or machining
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs
