Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile General Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment and systems, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks. This position also includes being 'on call' for our rental properties.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment and systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system malfunctions, and recommend repairs or replacements as necessary.
  3. Perform regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify potential maintenance issues, and create reports of findings.
  4. Respond to emergency repair requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Perform basic welding, fabrication, and installation tasks as needed.
  6. Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, and conveyors.
  7. Maintain records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
  8. Rotate between on-call technicians on a calendar basis.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or trade certification preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general maintenance, with a wide array of skills.
  3. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks.
  4. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system malfunctions, and recommend repairs or replacements as necessary.
  5. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  7. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday
